Alleycat Races have been independently organized throughout most major cities since its inception in Toronto, circa 1986. Racers all take off from a specified starting point but are then free to choose their own route through the city, seeking out designated checkpoints until finally making it across the finish line.
Keeping with the Shanghai Alleycat tradition from last year this year competition will be free for all participants. The race, alongside other events – trick competitions, night ride, and a party for cyclists and friends – will take place over the weekend of October 15 and 16. The weekend’s main event, the Alleycat Race, will take place Saturday afternoon.
Last Autumns Alleycat Race in Shanghai attracted over 150 participants for the main race from different parts of China. Approximately 300 spectators turned our over the course of the weekend for all events and the after party. Last Autumns sponsors included Puma, Airwalk Fixed Gear Bikes, adFunture, HK Fixed, ONEWAY, Thule, Shanghai Tatoo, MUST Productions, Paddy Wang’s Irish Bar and Specialized. 自从1986年多仑多的第一界以来，在世界上很多重要城市已经举办了野猫速递赛，车手从起点出发，自由选择路线，经过所有检查点后到达终点。
根据去年上海野猫速递赛的传统，本次比赛将完全免费，比赛-以及其他包含的项目（当然包括赛后晚会）将会在10月15及16日举行，主要比赛项目，野猫速递赛将会安排在周六下午！
上次的秋季比赛有超过150名注册选手，包括来自中国各地的车友们，有接近300名观众参与了赛后晚会为本次比赛加油助威。上次秋季赛的赞助商包括Puma,Airwalk Fixed Gear Bikes,adFunture,HK Fixed, ONEWAY,Thule,Shanghai Tatoo, MUST Productions,Paddy Wang's Irish Bar 以及闪电单车,所有关于2009野猫速递比赛的连接、报道、照片及视频都可以在网站上被找到。
